About Mangary

Mangary is a personal manga diary. Its features include user accounts, diary entries, characters and optional reference images, generated manga pages, a personal library, and exports when enabled. Some functionality may be limited during pre-release testing.

Personal information we process

Why we process it and our legal grounds

We use account and diary content to provide the service you request, including authentication, storing your work, managing access and subscriptions, and exporting content (performance of a contract where applicable). We process limited operational and security information to prevent misuse and keep Mangary reliable (legitimate interests, balanced against your rights). We process information when necessary to meet applicable legal obligations. If a separate activity legally requires consent, we will request it before that activity.

AI generation

When AI manga generation is enabled and you request it, content needed for that request—such as diary text, character information and photos you selected—may be sent from our server to an AI provider to create your manga plan and illustrations. The current implementation is designed around Google Gemini services; availability and provider configuration can change before public release, and this notice will be updated as appropriate. Avoid submitting information you do not have the right to use or do not want processed for generation.

Service providers and international processing

Mangary uses Google Firebase and Google Cloud for identity, storage and backend infrastructure; RevenueCat and the relevant platform stores for subscriptions and purchases; and Cloudflare for this website and domain email routing. AI requests, when enabled, use selected AI providers as described above. Depending on provider infrastructure, data may be processed outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Any required transfer safeguards must be verified against the providers’ applicable terms before broader public release. Contact us for current details.

How long information is kept

Account and personal content: Your diary entries, character information, selected reference images and generated manga are generally kept while your Mangary account is active and the content is needed to provide the service, unless you remove it or request account deletion. Specific records may be retained longer where a legal obligation applies or to resolve a legitimate security, billing or dispute issue. We do not treat the system recovery periods below as expiry dates for content in an active account.

Deleted files: At the time of this notice, the Google Cloud Storage buckets used for Mangary's stored files have a seven-day soft-delete recovery period. Following deletion of a live file, a recoverable copy can remain in the storage provider's recovery system for that period before permanent removal under the provider's processes. Such copies are not available through the ordinary Mangary app.

Operational and audit logs: Our Google Cloud Logging configuration currently retains general operational logs for 30 days and certain required administrative or system audit logs for 400 days. Depending on the event, logs may contain technical request and account identifiers. These periods concern log records, not the expiry of live diary entries. Other services, including app stores and payment processors, may retain transaction and compliance records according to their own legally applicable requirements.

Support requests: We keep correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to handle an inquiry, follow-up issues, safety concerns, or applicable legal responsibilities. We use the purpose and applicable retention requirements to determine when to delete it.

Account export and deletion

You can use the in-app export and account deletion controls where available, or email support@mangary.app if you cannot access them. Our account-deletion workflow is designed to delete the active Firebase Authentication account, associated Firestore records, relevant stored files, and the corresponding RevenueCat customer record. A failed step may require support intervention. Deletion from active systems does not necessarily remove short-lived provider recovery copies or logs immediately, and it cannot override records a third party is legally required to retain.

Your rights

Depending on applicable privacy law, you may request access, correction, erasure, portability, restriction or objection to relevant processing. You may complain to the relevant data-protection supervisory authority. Contact support@mangary.app with requests; we may need to verify your identity before disclosing or deleting account information.

Children and third-party content

Mangary is not designed for children who cannot lawfully consent to an online service under applicable rules. The final age eligibility policy will be published before broad consumer release. Do not upload other people’s personal images or material without appropriate rights or permission.

This website

This static website does not include advertising scripts, a contact form, or a product-analytics script. Cloudflare may process technical request data needed to serve and secure the website. For email inquiries, data you send is processed as necessary to respond to your request.

We may update this notice as the product evolves. The latest version and its update date will appear here. For material changes, we will use appropriate in-app or other communications where required.
